Back when i first started teaching in 2008-2009 i took part in an excellent teacher professional development program. The program included a lot of history teacher travel to historic places from all over.

• Greensboro, North Carolina-N.C. A&T and the International Civil Rights Center & Museum
• Charleston, South Carolina-Fort Sumter
• Atlanta, Georgia-Martin Luther King Center & Historic Site
